Dolores Heights Kitchen Renovation, San Francisco CA

Home renovations in the city are often a labor of love. They take time, planning, and precision. Even in perfect conditions setbacks are frustrating and typically inevitable. With added challenges of working through this project during the pandemic and over a year of shut downs in San Francisco, this project was well worth the work and the wait.

Functional & Fashionable

Function meets fashion to create this fabulous kitchen and sitting space. This dining area is well rounded and adds extra valuable storage, flexibility, and many options for use with a relaxed, elegant style reflective of the young homeowners.

The Island Is An Anchor

The island is a place to gather, work, and create. Harmony is achieved in this space with physical and visual flow. The elegant rich green base cabinets dressed with brushed brass hardware are balanced with matte black finishes.

Hidden behind the cabinets next to the refrigerator there is a stackable washer and dryer. Flipper doors were designed to open, then slide back into the closet, concealing these appliances and a few other necessary cleaning devices.

Open shelving created an elegant way to accessorize. These open shelves also allows for sunlight to filter through the light well into the kitchen, which is always welcome on a foggy San Francisco day.

THE BATHROOM RENOVATION

Little changes make BIG improvements.

To achieve optimal function in this small bathroom, we removed an old bathtub increasing the overall usable floor space. We also installed a wall mount toilet and wall mount faucets minimizing the impact of these appliances on the over all space. To improve light flow, the window size was expanded.

Black, white, bronze, and just a shade of gray.

Black hexagon floor tiles with light veining is a timeless classic choice that meets the modern large format marble style tile well in this bathroom renovation.
